Hello! My name is Shanna Bradfield. This is my fourth year at Norwin. I graduated from Temple University with a dual-major in elementary and special education in 2003. I began my teaching career in the Philadelphia City Schools. There I taught a self-contained middle school autistic support program for three years. The class focused mostly on functional academics, independent living skills, and community training. During that time, I received my master’s degree from Chestnut Hill College. I majored in elementary education with reading specialist certification. Afterwards, I moved to Pittsburgh and began work at Steel Valley School District. There I taught an autistic support classroom at the elementary level for three years. In 2007, I also received my National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. This past year I earned my supervisor of special education certification. I live in the South Hills. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, shopping, cooking, reading, gardening, playing with my cats, and spending time with family and friends.
