How do current students request transcripts?

Students will need to obtain a transcript release card from the Guidance Office. If the student is under 18 years of age, a parent must sign transcript release card  Next, the student will need to request that the counselor send an “official” transcript to the college admissions office with all necessary documents (the application itself, letters of recommendation, essay, deposit check, etc...). Requests are to be made in person by stopping in the Guidance Office before classes start or at the end of a school day. If the application was sent online, the accompanying documents and official transcript should be sent as soon as possible after the online application. Be sure to provide a correctly addressed envelope and sufficient postage when requesting transcripts. Include a self-addressed return postcard to ensure that the application is received. The Guidance Office will send applications with five (5) working days of receipt.

If a mid-year report is required by the college, please notify the counselor.

How is the PSSA reported on my transcript?
Graduation from Norwin High School will be based on the successful completion of 25.5 credits. The one additional credit will be awarded upon the completion of the 11th grade PSSA in writing, reading and mathematics. Each test will carry 1/3 credit weight.

.34 Writing Credit

+ .33 Reading Credit

+ .33 Mathematics Credit

= 1 Credit

The District will assign a percentage grade to each PSSA score as follows:
