QUEST
2010: Finding Your Future
(Summer
Career Camps at the University of Pittsburgh @ Greensburg) |
|
Did
you know that 80 percent of college-bound students have yet to
choose a major? Did you know that indecisiveness can drain college
savings accounts as students restart course sequences or transfer
schools—losing credits and paying more for their educations in
the process?
Encourage
the high school student in your life to attend “Quest 2010:
Finding Your Future,” a summer day camp that will occur in June
at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Each day will
include hands-on activities, featured speakers, and career
information. Students can attend all five sessions or just on the
days that interest them most. Topics will include Discovery Day
(June 22), Engineering and Math (June 28), the Legal System (June
29), Education and Other Helping Professions (June 30), and
Healthcare (July 1). Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each
day.
Cost
is only $25 per day, and scholarships are available.
Visit
www.greensburg.pitt.edu/quest
for more information and to register.
Or
call 724-838-8040.
Deadline
for registrations is Friday, June 11, at 5 p.m.
Career
Horizons: A Regional Career Education Partnership for Westmoreland
and Fayette Counties under the Private Industry Council and the
Westmoreland Fayette Workforce Investment Board is the primary
sponsor of the camp. Additional sponsors include Excela
Health, the Westmoreland Bar Association, Home Health by The
Thorne Group, and the Greensburg Lions Club. |
| SUMMER

Counselors
began the scheduling process with all students at the end of

granted access online to enter their schedule. Following
this process, each counselor met with their students individually
to review course selections and course prerequisites.
Students
have until May 21, 2010 to make any changes to their
schedule. In order to make a schedule change, students need
to see their counselor.
