EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

TEACHING POSITIONS

Effective April, 2008, the Norwin School District has initiated an on-line system for its application process; therefore, paper applications will no longer be accepted.

Individuals with a desire to submit a teaching packet to the Norwin School District for any advertised/posted vacant positions, substitute teaching positions, or to keep on file for any future vacancies that would become available should click on the Online Job Application link and choose a category which best describes your application type (i.e., guidance, teacher, etc.).  In order to complete your application, you will need to attach a scanned copy of your letter of interest, resume, PA Teaching Certificate, clearances, transcripts and letters of reference.

Please Note:  The position descriptions on this site are not necessarily vacant positions.  This is designed to be an on-line application system for any vacancies that should become available.

* The Norwin School District continues to participate in http://www.pa-educator.net, although Norwin does not solely rely on this service for applications.

* If you are a recent graduate who has completed all requirements for certification and have a letter from your college stating that your paperwork has all been sent to the state and that you are awaiting your certificate, we can accept the letter from the college to complete your application materials.

* Applications will be accepted without clearances, but employment is contingent upon the receipt of current Act 34 (Criminal Record Check), Act 151 (Child Abuse History) and current FBI clearances.

Incomplete applications remain in an inactive status and are not considered for employment until they are complete.

There are no deadlines to apply for a teaching position. Applications will be kept on file for a period of one (1) school year.  Applications are purged each year in April.

NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

To apply for other positions within the district, please call or stop by the Administration Building to pick up an application; or you may request an application be sent to you by calling (724) 861-3029.  Please be aware that current Act 34 (Criminal Record Check), Act 151 (Child Abuse History) and current FBI clearances are required to work in the district in any capacity.

The Norwin School District does not discriminate on the basis of

race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or handicap

in the administration of any of its educational

programs, activities, or with respect to employment.
