Math Packets

All students in grades 5 though 11 who are scheduled for a math course next year, have been assigned a summer math packet.  The packet corresponds to the math course that he/she will be taking in the next school year  (e.g. students who completed Geometry were assigned an Algebra II packet). Math packets are to be completed and handed in on August 27, 2009.  Students must have all problems completed with all work shown in the space provided for each problem in order to receive full credit.

AUGUST 4 * 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

 

AP English Language and Composition

As an AP student, you are expected to complete all of the assignments by the August 26, 2009. If assignments are not complete in an organized, thorough, and timely manner, you may be asked to transfer out of the AP curriculum. A strong work ethic is necessary to be successful in this course.  Consider dropping the class if you do not enjoy reading, discussing, analyzing, and writing about literature.  Do not take this class if you are only trying to get a 10% toward this grade.

Students are to read the first chapter of their textbook and complete the study guide which is due the first day of school.

Honors Biology Packet

 

Teacher - Mr. Lloyd

It is important that you complete this packet in its entirety over the summer, as it will be graded and recorded as your first grade for the first 9 week period.  You should do the packet individually and do not work with a classmate

 

There is also a 25 question, online assessment that must be completed between June 1 and August 25. This is a test grade so be certain that you have read the chapter and completed the chapter 1 study guide packet prior to attempting the test.  Only your first score on the test will be recorded. This must be done prior to the first day of school otherwise it will be  a "0."

Literary Studies (Grade 7)

Students are to read one (1) of the six (6) novels listed, complete one (1) of the identified projects and prepare a 3 to 5 minute oral presentation about the novel.
