Getting to Sunset Valley Elementary
Sunset Valley is located at 11065 Dickens Drive in North Huntingdon Pennsylvania which is about 26 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. To locals it is tucked in the Sunset Valley housing plan just beyond Kerber's Dairy and the Kerber's Farms housing plan. It is approximately 5.5 miles from the Pennsylvania Turnpike exit 67 (old exit 7).
Traveling West on US-Route 30 (coming from Greensburg or Pennsylvania Turnpike exit 67) travel under the Irwin Turnpike overpass and proceed on US-Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) for approximately 3.5 miles. At the fifth traffic light, which will be near a Subway restaurant and Hamilton Buick, make a LEFT turn onto Robbins Station Road. Stay on Robbins Station Road for 1 block (.2 of a mile); at the traffic light make a LEFT onto Clay Pike Road (this intersection has a bank and funeral home on the corners). Continue on Clay Pike Road for 1.2 miles, at the first traffic light make a RIGHT onto Guffy Road (there will be an old gas station at this intersection). Follow Guffy Road .7 miles until you see the road sign for Dennis Circle, make the RIGHT onto Dennis Circle (note that Dennis Circle is just over a knob in the road). Go 1 block (.1 of a mile) on Dennis Circle and make the first LEFT onto Robert Street. Continue on Robert Street 1 block (.1 of a mile) and make the RIGHT onto Dickens Drive which will become the driveway to Sunset Valley Elementary.
Traveling East on US-Route 30 (coming from Pittsburgh) Route 30 will intersect with US-Route 48 in North Versailles follow US-Route 30 until it insects with Robbin Station Road, approximately 3.7 miles (six traffic lights). At this intersection will be Hamilton Buick, Lenhart's auto shop, and a Subway restaurant, make a RIGHT turn onto Robbins Station Road. Stay on Robbins Station Road for 1 block (.2 of a mile); at the traffic light make a LEFT onto Clay Pike Road (this intersection has a bank and funeral home on the corners). Continue on Clay Pike Road for 1.2 miles, at the first traffic light make a RIGHT onto Guffy Road (there will be an old gas station at this intersection).
