NOTICE TO APPLICANTS: All candidates seeking employment should submit their application materials online or review by Administration. Application materials should be updated regularly and uploaded accordingly. In the event there is a vacancy, application materials will be reviewed and screened by the appropriate Administrative team members and candidates will be selected for interviewing.
Once candidates are selected, the District will initiate a comprehensive and competitive interviewing process. Depending on the position, there may be up to three (3) interviews conducted prior to selecting a candidate to recommend to the Norwin Board of Education for employment. For Central Office and Principal/Assistant Principal positions, the Board of Education will be involved in the final round of the interview process. After selecting a candidate for hire, the District will conduct reference checks and obtain all the proper state-mandated clearances and background check documents.
10 MONTH SECRETARY POSITION – SPECIAL EDUCATION/ACCESS COORDINATOR
The Norwin School District is looking for a permanent 10-Month Secretary - Special Education/ACCESS Coordinator. The position pays $16.30/hour, 211 days per school year, with pay spread out over a 12-month period (pro-rated for the 2018-2019 school year). The work year typically starts 2 weeks before the students return in August, and ends 2 weeks after the students leave for the school year. This position also offers a full benefit package. Pre-employment testing will be required prior to being considered for an interview. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. SEARCH EXTENDED - Position available beginning July 1, 2019. Enrollment approximately 5,300; grades K-12; approximately $71 million budget. PA Letter of Eligibility required. Earned Doctorate in Education, Administration or related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of central office experience required, preferably as Superintendent of Schools. Strong leadership, management, supervisory, organizational, and communication skills required. Must be a strong educational leader/motivator, and be able to achieve District objectives and maintain accountability. Experience in school curriculum; best practices; instruction, and assessment; professional development; educational technology; staff/budget development; and overall District operations required. Must possess high expectations of staff and students; demonstrate a sincere interest in the education of all students; and have the ability to advance District operations. Applications being accepted for substitute Certified School Nurses and substitute Non Certified School Nurses (Nurse’s Aides). Must be an RN or an LPN, hold a current nursing license and must obtain Acts 24, 34, 151, 126/Child Abuse Training, and FBI clearances prior to working. Salary for substitute School Nurse is $105/day, salary for substitute Nurse’s Aide is $13.60/hour.
