THE POSITIONS YOU SEE LISTED ON FAST TRACK ARE NOT ALL OPEN POSITIONS.  FAST TRACK IS UTILIZED TO HOUSE ALL APPLICATIONS COMING INTO THE DISTRICT WHETHER THEY ARE  SOLICITED OR UNSOLICITED. 
 
TYPICALLY A SPECIFIC OPEN & POSTED POSITION WILL HAVE A DEPARTMENT AND A LOCATION ATTACHED TO THE POSTING, AS WELL AS A DEADLINE DATE TO APPLY (Not "Until Filled").

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS: All candidates seeking employment should submit their application materials online or review by Administration. Application materials should be updated regularly and uploaded accordingly. In the event there is a vacancy, application materials will be reviewed and screened by the appropriate Administrative team members and candidates will be selected for interviewing. 

Once candidates are selected, the District will initiate a comprehensive and competitive interviewing process. Depending on the position, there may be up to three (3) interviews conducted prior to selecting a candidate to recommend to the Norwin Board of Education for employment. For Central Office and Principal/Assistant Principal positions, the Board of Education will be involved in the final round of the interview process. After selecting a candidate for hire, the District will conduct reference checks and obtain all the proper state-mandated clearances and background check documents.



IMMEDIATE NEED FOR PARAPROFESSIONALS

 

The District is looking to fill multiple Paraprofessional openings.  We also have some extended/long term substitute paraprofessional positions that will need covered as well in the near future. To be considered for a paraprofessional position, you must be able to be a substitute in that position at first in order to be properly evaluated to be hired for the school year. Paraprofessional positions are hired/renewed year-to-year, therefore, if hired as a paraprofessional, it would be for the 2019-2020 school year. Paraprofessional positions do not carry benefits, however if hired, you would be offered the opportunity to purchase healthcare at the District cost. Also, these positions offer up to three (3) sick days and bereavement per year.

 

 

Please see the below pay scale for Paraprofessionals:

 

Permanent/full-time CERTIFIED (Emergency or Teacher Certified) - $14.50/hour

Substitute CERTIFIED (Emergency or Teacher Certified) - $13.00/hour

To be eligible for "Emergency Certification" you must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

 

Permanent/full-time NON CERTIFIED - $11.00/hour

Substitute NON CERTIFIED- $10.00/hour

EMERGENCY CERTIFIED SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

The Norwin School District is looking for individuals holding a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree to obtain PA Emergency Teaching Certification in order to become day to day substitute teachers in the District. 

The rate of pay is $105/day (subject to change)

The District is holding an Emergency Substitute Teacher Orientation on 

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.*

*Attendance is mandatory in order to be placed on the Emergency Substitute List.

SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS NEEDED

The Norwin School District is looking for substitute custodians, primarily for 2nd and 3rd shift work. The current substitute rate of pay is $9.80/hour. Interested applicants should click on the Online Job Application Icon and submit an application. Acts 24, 34, 151, FBI, 126 Child Abuse History Training and Act 168 Background Checks will need to be provided prior to working.

SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSES NEEDED

Applications being accepted for substitute Certified School Nurses and substitute Non Certified School Nurses (Nurse’s Aides). Must be an RN or an LPN, hold a current nursing license and must obtain Acts 24, 34, 151, 126/Child Abuse Training, and FBI clearances prior to working. Salary for substitute School Nurse is $105/day, salary for substitute Nurse’s Aide is $13.75/hour. Interested applicants should contact the Human Resources Department to inquire about information needed to be placed on the substitute list.
