- The Norwin School District currently utilizes an online application system in order to apply for a position with the District.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS: All candidates seeking employment should submit their application materials online or review by Administration. Application materials should be updated regularly and uploaded accordingly. In the event there is a vacancy, application materials will be reviewed and screened by the appropriate Administrative team members and candidates will be selected for interviewing.
Once candidates are selected, the District will initiate a comprehensive and competitive interviewing process. Depending on the position, there may be up to three (3) interviews conducted prior to selecting a candidate to recommend to the Norwin Board of Education for employment. For Central Office and Principal/Assistant Principal positions, the Board of Education will be involved in the final round of the interview process. After selecting a candidate for hire, the District will conduct reference checks and obtain all the proper state-mandated clearances and background check documents.
Applications are being accepted for the position of job coach to begin in late January 2020 for the Norwin Works! Program and will extend through the summer of 2020. Experience preferred. Must have at least a high school diploma.
The Job Coach will be responsible for developing work experiences that should (whenever possible) lead to paid employment for the student. Job development includes developing relationships with community business members, scheduling the experience with the student and business, and accompanying the student into the workplace to train the student to the point of proficiency.
The Job Coach will be responsible for developing Shadowing opportunities for identified students and accompany those students to the experience: both individual student participants and groups of student participants. The Job Coach will be responsible to maintain documentation of experiences, including administering workplace assessments, Shadowing Reports, and Employer Evaluations, all in a timely manner. The Job Coach should be able to maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates the needs of the business host as well as the student/family. The Job Coach will provide soft-skill and social skills development for identified students.
Current Acts 24, 34, 151, 126/Child Abuse Training (Parts I and II), FBI clearance and Act 168 Background Checks will be required upon offer of employment. The salary for the Job Coach is $14.35/hour for up to 40 hours a week (total hours each week will vary, depending on referrals), flexible scheduling outside of the typical school day including weeknights, some weekends, and over the summer. IMMEDIATE NEED FOR PARAPROFESSIONALS
The District is looking to fill multiple Paraprofessional openings. We also have some extended/long term substitute paraprofessional positions that will need covered as well in the near future. To be considered for a paraprofessional position, you must be able to be a substitute in that position at first in order to be properly evaluated to be hired for the school year. Paraprofessional positions are hired/renewed year-to-year, therefore, if hired as a paraprofessional, it would be for the 2019-2020 school year. Paraprofessional positions do not carry benefits, however if hired, you would be offered the opportunity to purchase healthcare at the District cost. Also, these positions offer up to three (3) sick days and bereavement per year.

Substitute CERTIFIED (Emergency or Teacher Certified) - $13.00/hour

SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSES NEEDED
Applications being accepted for substitute Certified School Nurses and substitute Non Certified School Nurses (Nurse’s Aides). Must be an RN or an LPN, hold a current nursing license and must obtain Acts 24, 34, 151, 126/Child Abuse Training, and FBI clearances prior to working. Salary for substitute School Nurse is $105/day, salary for substitute Nurse’s Aide is $13.75/hour.
