Norwin High School Recognized as a “Blood Drive Hero”

Norwin High School was recently recognized by Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank) for being a Blood Drive Hero. During the past two years, nearly 500 units of blood have been donated by high school students and staff.

Due to the current pandemic, the High School is unable to host blood drives in school.  However, the Senior Class is asking students age 17 and older (age 16 with parent signature), parents, Norwin alumni that may be home for the holidays, and the entire Norwin community to consider donating during one of our two Virtual Blood Drives.

These blood drives will take place from November 20 – December 5 and from December 19 – January 2.   Please visit to schedule an appointment.  There is a great demand for blood during the holidays.

The nearest Vitalant locations are in Greensburg (Greensburg Commons, 6044 Route 30, Suite 300 – across the highway from Walmart) or in Monroeville (Corporate 1 Office Park Building 2 – behind Miracle Mile Shopping Center).

You may also donate at Norwin Christian Church on December 4. To donate at Norwin Christian Church, please chose that blood drive from Vitalant website at (please search for blood drives being held on December 4).

Please use our high school code HS010156 when registering/donating.  Thank you for helping Norwin High School to be a Blood Drive Hero to people in the community who need it most.
