Gifted Students Speak To Community At Eighth-Annual American Education Week Celebration

Norwin School District celebrated American Education Week by hosting the eighth-annual Business-Education-Community Program, an event that shines a spotlight on student achievement and brings representatives of the greater Norwin community into the school setting. This year’s program theme was “Public Education: A Treasured Gift,” and it featured students who have benefited from the Norwin Gifted Program.

School Board Reorganization Meeting Highlights

At the Norwin Board of Education’s annual reorganization meeting Monday, December 3, 2018, members elected Mrs. Barbara Viola as President and Mr. Brian Carlton as Vice President. Norwin Superintendent Dr. William Kerr to Retire in June 2019

Dr. William Kerr, Norwin School District’s Superintendent since 2010, has announced that he plans to retire at the end of the business day on June 28, 2019, concluding a 42.3-year career in public education and 25 years as a superintendent of schools, which includes one-year as an interim superintendent.
