FREE curbside meal pickup will once again be available at every Norwin school building from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays during the Hybrid Operational Model.
These are FREE MEALS for children 18 and under. Each meal package comes with 5 days’ worth of a nutritious variety of ready-to-eat and heat-at home entrees, plus fresh fruit, veggies, milk and snacks.
Entrees include Uncrustables sandwiches with cheese sticks and snack; and also pretzel dippers with cheese sauce. In late January, the District plans to provide a wider selection of entrees within each five-day bundle.
There are no registration or eligibility requirements. Simply arrive in your vehicle and please open your trunk or hatch when it’s your turn to ensure a contactless distribution. These meals will be free for all students through the end of the school year.
Please note that there will be no curbside meals provided on Wednesday, January 20th because students are scheduled to be in the schools that day. Changes to the operational model can also affect the time and location of the curbside pickups. Therefore, please stay tuned to future eBlasts and the Food & Nutrition Services webpage for any changes to the curbside pickup schedule.
The hardworking staff of the Norwin Food and Nutrition Services Department provide an average of almost 5,000 meals to Norwin families during a typical curbside pickup on Wednesdays.
