This year, more than 250 entries were submitted for rigorous judging. Of those entries, Norwin received an Award of Honor and an Award of Merit.
Specifically, Norwin School District won:
- An Award of Honor in the Writing Category for “Superintendent's Message to the Community,” which was an article that appeared in the winter 2020 edition of IN Norwin magazine
- An Award of Merit in the Social Media Category for the #NorwinStrong campaign.
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Taylor believes that high-quality organizational communications lead to better-informed Norwin families, students, staff, and community members. Therefore, he has prioritized efforts to reinvigorate communications at Norwin School District.
“We are pleased to have been recognized for communications excellence by the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association,” Dr. Taylor said. “Our goal is to always provide high-quality internal and external communications that engage our stakeholders and maintain positive relationships.”
He credited the work of Mr. Jonathan Szish, Director of Communications and Development, for helping to move District communications beyond facts and information into an engaging story of our community and achievements.
Dr. Taylor added that the School District plans to offer mobile app to parents next school year, among several other planned communications initiatives.
