Norwin Recognized in State Communications Contest

Norwin School District has been recognized in the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association’s 2021 Excellence in Communications Contest.

This year, more than 250 entries were submitted for rigorous judging. Of those entries, Norwin received two Award of Excellence designations and an Award of Merit.

Specifically, Norwin School District won:

  • An Award of Excellence in the Graphic Design Category for “District Development Opportunities” which was a document created to highlight and promote district-wide partnership opportunities 
  • An Award of Excellence in the Special Purpose Project Category for “District Branding Guidelines”, a document created to highlight and outline the newly established Norwin School District branding.
  • An Award of Merit in the COVID-19 and/or Crisis Management Category for the COVID-19 Decision Process document.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Taylor believes that high-quality organizational communications lead to better-informed Norwin families, students, staff, and community members. Therefore, he has prioritized efforts to reinvigorate communications at Norwin School District.

“We are pleased to have been recognized for communications excellence by the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association,” Dr. Taylor said. “Our goal is to always provide high-quality internal and external communications that engage our stakeholders and maintain positive relationships.”

He credited the work of Ms. Lauren Steiner, Director of Communications and Development, for creating aesthetically pleasing helping to move District communications and development opportunities beyond facts and information into an engaging story of our community and achievements.
