Congratulations to Norwin Mock Trial's defense team for their exceptional performance in the first round of the regional event held on Tuesday, January 23.
This marks Norwin's inaugural participation in the mock trial, and the students, under Mrs. Sturm's guidance. Facing a prosecution team from Penn Trafford, Norwin's defense presented a compelling case and demonstrated commendable resilience throughout the proceedings.
Although the jury ultimately ruled in favor of the prosecution, the decision was not easily reached, due to the outstanding efforts of the Norwin Mock Trial team. Lawyers Rex Wu, Andrew Brown, and Paxton Stauffer showcased their knowledge, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance. Additionally, the compelling performances of character witnesses Logan Pearce, Isabella DeFlitch, and Roman Ola further contributed to Norwin's strong showing.
Looking ahead, Norwin is set to compete in round two on Tuesday, February 20, where they will face off against Greensburg Salem and represent the prosecution.
