NORWIN SCHOOL DISTRICT - IMMEDIATE NEED

 

TRANSPORTATION NURSE

The Norwin School District is seeking a compassionate and qualified School District Transportation Nurse to join our team! This unique role involves riding district transportation (van or bus) with students who have medical needs.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride with students requiring medical care to ensure safe and supported transportation.
  • Provide health services, collaborate with staff and families, and maintain accurate medical documentation.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN license in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience with pediatric or school nursing preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and emergency response skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.


Benefits Include:**

  • Competitive salary based on licensure (RN-$22.95/hour; LPN-$20.70/hour) for approximately 4-5 hrs/day.

  • Substitute pay rate is $14.00/hour
  • If you want to become full time, your rate will increase to $15.16/hour after a 30-day probationary period

Paraprofessionals

Permanent and extended/long-term substitute paraprofessional positions are available throughout the year in Learning Support, Life Skills, Autistic Support, Emotional Support, and one-on-one student paraprofessionals.  

 

Paraprofessional Pay Rates:

  • Permanent/full-time Certified (Teacher Certified) - $21.95/hour
  • Permanent/full-time Emergency Certified - $20.70/hour
  • Permanent/full-time Non-Certified - $17.35/hour
  • Substitute Certified (Teacher Certified) - $16.35/hour
  • Substitute Emergency Certified * - $15.30/hour
  • Substitute Non-Certified - $13.30/hour
    * To be eligible for "Emergency Certification," you must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

 

Important Details for Paraprofessional Positions:

  • Up to three (3) sick days and bereavement are provided per year
  • Single Coverage Healthcare Benefits provided - $50/pay
