Standardized Assessment Program

A comprehensive standardized assessment program exists at the elementary level in coordination with the overall curriculum. Assessments administered include:
  • Cognitive Abilities Test, Grade 5
  • Pennsylvania System of School Assessments (PSSA), Grades 3 through 6

Additionally, all students in grades K-6 participate in benchmark assessments in Reading and Mathematics at various points throughout the year. The purpose of benchmark testing is to measure student achievement and progress in relation to grade level standards and expectations.
