Norwin School District is pleased to offer a FREE new app called FirstView that provides a visual indicator of where your child's bus is along its route.
The result is improved communications with families.
The FirstView app allows families to:

- Track the location and direction of your child's bus;
- See your child's stop schedule for the current day;
- View timestamps for school arrivals and departures;
- Receive predictive stop arrival times;
- Set up push or email notifications alerting you when your student's bus is a chosen distance or number of minutes away from your stop; and
- Many other features.
The FirstView app was developed and is maintained by First Student Bus Co. The app also works on a desktop computer.
Test Group Members Give App High Ratings
Early feedback from a test group of Norwin parents, teachers, and administrators was overwhelmingly positive.
Members of the Norwin test group were impressed by the visual indicator showing where their child’s bus was along its route. They also said the app would be especially helpful during inclement weather when buses may experience travel delays.
The data for the app -- including stop locations, pickup times, and bus data -- comes directly from First Student Bus Co. The tracking feature displays real-time updates based on satellite and GPS data. Users of the app are asked to please be aware that there may be a minute or two delay of the visual indicator of the bus compared to its actual location.
This app is only available to community members who have a child in the Norwin School District. After the free app is downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, please note that your child's six-digit student ID number will be required to finish the setup process.
